About Gather at His Table
Gather at His Table is a Christian ministry and growing community that gives women a place to slow down, return to Scripture, think deeply, and navigate life’s changing seasons with greater clarity, faith and wisdom.
Through biblical reflection, thoughtful research, and practical resources such as the DISCERN Method, Gather at His Table explores not only the decisions we make, but also who we are becoming along the way.
Our quarterly magazine extends that invitation through stories of women’s lived experiences, Scripture, and opportunities for reflection—encouraging readers to recognize that their own stories matter, too.
There’s always a place for you at His Table.
About the Founder
I have spent much of my professional life working as a litigation paralegal, where research, asking questions, examining evidence, and separating facts from assumptions have become second nature. But some of the most important questions I have faced haven’t come from a legal case. They have come from my own life.
I lost my husband unexpectedly when I was 33. In the years that followed, I learned what it meant to make difficult decisions on my own and to rely on God when I couldn’t see very far ahead. Career changes, moves, and new seasons of life didn’t always come with clear answers, and I certainly didn’t always feel confident about the decisions I made. Over time, though, I began to recognize a pattern in the way I approached them.
That pattern eventually became the DISCERN Method.
My love of learning and research has continued, well beyond my legal work. I have completed leadership certification through John Maxwell and in DISC Behavior Analysis. I continue to study Scripture, personal growth, leadership, neuroscience, and how our thinking influences the choices we make.
I am not a counselor or neuroscientist. I’m a lifelong learner interested in what we can discover when thoughtful research and biblical truth sit at the same table.
Gather at His Table grew from that same curiosity and from my belief that women still need places where honest questions, thoughtful learning, Scripture, and faith can meet.
I don’t have every answer. I’m still learning to discern wisely too. But I have learned that we don’t always need to know the whole path before we begin.
A Simple Invitation
Sometimes the gift isn't just in the story being told. It's in someone caring enough to ask.
A woman may have spent years listening to everyone else's stories, remembering birthdays, asking about the children, and making sure everyone felt loved. And perhaps nobody has thought to ask very much about hers.
What a lovely thing it would be for someone to take an interest in the life she's lived.
The next time you're visiting with your mother or grandmother, a sister or longtime friend, ask her something about her life that you've never thought to ask before.
You might be surprised by what you learn.
And she might be delighted that someone wanted to know.
